How I Style The Kimono This Summer

Post contain adlinks – inlägget innehåller annons länkar

One of my absolute to go fashion pieces this summer is the Kimono. I just love the simplicity of wrapping my kimono around me and head to the beach or the pool in style yet feeling very comfortable.

It also very convenient if I´m at a beach club or in a company I can just wrap it around me if I would like to cover up from the sun or if we are going for lunch and I want to look more decent than just wearing my swimwear. I love how I can look and feel very stylish at the same time.

How To Get The Motivation To Workout With A Tight Schedule

-post contains affiliate links – innehåller annonslänkar-

With a tight schedule and a busy lifestyle we tend to feel more tired and stressed with the results of skipping our workouts. Something I have learned over the years is to keep my workouts consistent since they are benefiting me in so many ways and keeping me more focused, giving me much better sleep and simply staying on top of my game.

I have put together a few tips that I use to get the motivation to workout even with a tight and busy schedule.

Set Your Goals

In order to achieve a bigger goal, set small goals along the way. It might make it easier to see and get to your end goal. It always motivates me to have goals set and once achieving them it makes me feel great and one step closer to my finish line. Also while setting goals it makes you always have something great to look forward to.

Join Group Classes

I decided to join a few group classes a few months back and this has been so beneficial in my workouts. Not only can you try to learn something new you will also meet other great people that shares the same interest as you. I also feel that in a group I tend to work a little harder and push myself a little more. Currently I have joined body pump, body step, pilates and hot yoga to balance it all out and I love it so much.

Frequently Update Your Playlist

Something that really motivates me and gives me life is music. In order to always stay motivated and get that extra energy and endorphins a great tip is to frequently update your playlist and your music. I try to update mine at least every 2 months.

Invest In Some New Gym Gear

You deserve it. Invest in some new workout clothes, earphones or maybe a nice gym bag? In the end of the page I have selected some of the gym gear styles that I´m loving right now.

Learn To Love Your Body

Most importantly learn to love the body that you´re in. We tend to workout for the wrong reasons sometimes and push our bodies for what they are not. Instead of punishing our bodies and let our workouts become negative energy and thoughts for not being good enough we should nourish the body that we´re in and workout cause we love it. Workout to give it fuel and oxygen to take care of us and most importantly be gentle to ourselves. This is somethings I have learned and it is not always easy to find the balance but today I love my body and I workout to feel good about myself and for my wellbeing and health. Not for a number on the scale or any other reasons.

I mostly wear black and white gym gear however sometimes I like to style it with maybe a light pink or nude color. I also mostly own high waist gym leggings cause to me those are the most comfy ones and the ones that make me feel comfortable at the gym or gym class.

I have selected some of my current favs below:

My Current To Go Beauty Products- Summer Edition

– post contain adlinks- innehåller annons länkar-

Summer is finally here and I love this time of the year, however this is also the time when I need to take extra good care of my skin and hair and to protect it while enjoying fun beach days or getting my glam on in the evening.

Summer is supposed to be easy and fun, the same way I feel with my summer beauty products.

I have a few favorites this year that I always carry with me on the go that I would like to share with you guys. And as you all know I have very sensitive skin and my body does not do well with unnatural products. Therefore I only use products that I love and that nourishes my skin from the inside and out.

Protect from the Sun

I love the sun getting that vitamin D however, I always protect it and always use a day cream with sunscreen during the summer time. Currently I use the Chanel CC cream which gives me a lightweight feeling but has cover in it and protects with SPF 50. I really don´t like the feeling of having too much on my face or a thickness feeling that some cremes can create if that make sense and I love the feeling of lightweight products on my skin. It corrects redness or uneven spots, boosts a healthy glow and yet it makes my skin look very natural. This is perfect since I don´t really like to wear too much products during the summer time. The size is also great since I don´t like large packaging at all and it needs to be travel friendly.

Natural Looking Hair

I love my long natural hair but during the summer time it always takes a lot of hits from the sun and salt water and I try to protect it the best as I can. Except from using a nourishing shampoo and conditioner, and my homemade hair mask once a week, I been trying a wave spray that is not only giving my hair extra shine. It contains rice protein that naturally protects the hair fibers from the inside against bad and oxidative damage due to the solar radiation. It also protects hair keratin from degradation. And it smells AMAZING! I love to spray it after curling my hair. I also use it through the day on my straight hair to add texture and shine. I love the mini size which is 50 ml and great to bring for travel.

Eyes

During the summer time I only put mascara and eye shadow unless I have some special occasion or event to attend and the mascara that I am currently using gives me the most full and volume lashes without clumping or drying out. During a full day it does not leave marks on my upper eye lids or under the eye.

I use my eye shadow for my eye brow too using a brush and it really gives me a natural look.

Summer Lips

I like glow and shine for my lips, and coral is one of my favorite colors since long. It looks so good especially when I have a little bit of tan and a sun kissed look. This product contains hyaluronic acid for the most powerful hydration and gives my lips volume and shine. It comes in many different colors as well as with a shimmer finish.

Instant summer glow

I love bronzers in the summer. They are easy to carry with me, they give a natural looking glow and they are basically all that I need after a cc cream to keep me looking healthy and glowing throughout the day.

A few weeks back I tried this bronzing healthy glow powder at Sephora. And after liking it so much I could not be able to find it anywhere. It was sold out in so many places. Finally after a week of constantly searching for it I found one and I love it so so much. It gives me a healthy looking glow without being too shiny or glittery and without making it look like I obviously are wearing a bronze power. And it just looks so natural and that is the look that I always try to create and like to go for. It comes in two shades and I am using the darker one.

Our Stay At The Ritz Carlton Millenia Singapore

Named one of the best hotels in Singapore by Travel & Leisure The Ritz Carlton Millenia Singapore was definitely one of our highlights during our trip.

With its 608 guest rooms overlooking the absolute breathtaking Singapore skyline over Marina Bay, this was not the only thing that stood out and totally made us feel like home away from home.

Ritz Carlton knows excellent service and you can really tell from the moment you step out of the car and to be totally honest we didn´t want to leave this place.

With an amazing buffét breakfast with the largest selection to choose from we were so happy that they also have a whole section with gluten free choices. So we could enjoy different breads and some fruit cake which is not too often. We woke up early to spend hours here enjoying the food, talking, planning and enjoying the calm atmosphere and of course each others company. The best start of the day really.

Tips On Where To Stay In Coron Philippines

So many of you have asked me of places to stay in Coron. So here is a blogg post on some of the places where we stayed. We decided to stay on a private island our first week to just relax after all our long flights. You can read more about that island here.

Then we moved into Coron town where you would want to stay cause from here would be the place where you´ll catch the boats early morning for all the beautiful island hopping around Coron. We did differen´t day trips and you seriously need more then one boat day if you want to explore all the hidden gems around.

Our first pick was The Funny Lion located just 5 min outside Coron Town. This boutique hotel is really pretty, relaxing and have a great location. Not too far from it all yet nestled away in a tropical jungle oasis with a beautiful top view from their pool deck area where you can relax and enjoy the most stunning sunsets. If you´re up for a relaxing stay where you really don´t need to be connected, then this will be your choice since the internet was not working for our entire stay but hey, it was kind of relaxing for a few days. I am so sorry though for my poor updates during this trip but sometimes when things are out of your reach then you just need to go with the flow and realize that there are many beautiful things that can be shared later on. This trip was really just island life without too much connections to the internet world 🙂 The manager at this hotel was so kind and lovely to us and our last night they organized the most beautiful dinner setting. We LOVED it so much.

We also stayed at the Two Seasons Hotel Bayside Coron. This was also a beautiful hotel. Great location and super speed on the internet. We came here for lunch even the days when we didn´t stay here cause their garlic rice with shrimps were freakin amazing and the restaurant staff super sweet and friendly plus when we needed the internet for work we could use it during our lunch here. 🙂 Such a win win really. I really liked this place. Pictures below are from the beautiful rooftop terrace where you can enjoy the most stunning sunsets overlooking the bay.

Beautiful Places To Visit In Coron Philippines

-this post contain affiliate links- detta innlägg innehåller annons länkar –

I really don´t know how to explain the beauty of this paradise called Coron in Palawan, Philippines. I hope that our photos will do some justice cause the surroundings and beautiful nature that we have experienced here the past few weeks is just pure magic. The lakes here are some of the clearest ones I´ve ever seen in my life and everywhere we go the scenery of limestone cliffs and blue ocean makes me feel alive and oh so free.

I am so happy that we chose Coron and from what I know by doing some good research, it seems that this place is not as explored like for example El Nido that has come to be so popular the past years amongst backpackers and luxury travelers. However, in the near future I would still love to visit other parts like El Nido and other places in the Philippines.

Coron town is located on Busuanga island and even though there is no beaches or that much to do in the area, you´ll still find a little city centre with shops and restaurants and the harbor where the boats will take you out to the many sights and island hopping tours.

There are so many tours to chose from, and even though they are cheaper you will still have to share the boat with many others with a fixed schedule of places to visit and timings on each spot. This was not even an option for us since we like to have our freedom and explore what we want and when we want. So we rented our own private boat which is only a few thousand pesos more for the whole boat. Way worth it. Not only did we have the option to go in our own speed and take our time on each spot, we also could chose the schedule and our boatsman took a different rout than the other scheduled tours so we in that way, did not have to battle with hundreds of other explorers.

Our picks to visit on this day was Barracuda Lake, Kayangan Lake and the Twin Lagoon. We woke up earlier then all the other tours and boats to be the first ones on the first spot which was Barracuda Lake and we had it all to our selves. Around nine in the morning the other tours starts normally so you can only expect all the sites to be crowded and full of orange floaters everywhere.

If you decide to rent your own boat make sure that you have cash for the entrance fees for each site you want to visit, plus you own lunch and fruits and water for the full day. And of course some tips for your boat crew.

Here is some captures from Barracuda Lake that was our first stop. When we arrived early morning we had the lake all to ourselves and it was so quiet and peaceful. By the time we left all these boats arrived to explore the Lake so make sure to be very early before all the other tours arrive to be able to fully enjoy.

Our next stop was the Twin Lagoon. This is also where we had our lunch on the boat. They made us some steamed rice and fish bbq with veggies. To get inside here you need to either swim inside or go by Kayak. We only brought our GoPro here since we were in the water all the time and and didn´t want to bring our Leica or the drone. But the pictures turned out so well and swimming here was such an amazing experience. The water is just so clear. I hope the photos will do some justice and I wish you could see this place for yourself. Our suggestion is to come here either early morning or late afternoon. Most of the tours starts between 08-09 AM and will go back around 15-16 PM. Cause during the day it´s packed with boat and tours and to get a quiet spot like we did will be almost impossible.

The next and last spot of the day was Kayangan Lake. This is said to be the most clear lake in all of Asia and I can clearly understand why. Once you arrive with the boat you will hike a lot of steps up to the view point. So make sure to have comfy shoes. After the view point you will walk down many steps to the Kayangan Lake which is a beautiful spot and well worth a visit. Same applies here, try to escape all of the tours and all of the orange floaters. If you get this place all to yourself it is a way more incredible and magical experience. I am glad we got to visit the place once cause I´ve always wanted to see this stunning Lake ever since I saw the first photo from this place. Right before arriving to this place we saw a sea turtle from far but we had to much speed to stop the boat and we could not turn around. Such a shame since one of the highlights on this trip was to swim with a sea turtle. I love them so much.

We had such an amazing day with such a friendly boat crew and finished the day with dinner and a beautiful sunset at our hotel in Coron bay. Feeling so energized and full of love.
