Named one of the best hotels in Singapore by Travel & LeisureThe Ritz Carlton Millenia Singapore was definitely one of our highlights during our trip.
With its 608 guest rooms overlooking the absolute breathtaking Singapore skyline over Marina Bay, this was not the only thing that stood out and totally made us feel like home away from home.
Ritz Carlton knows excellent service and you can really tell from the moment you step out of the car and to be totally honest we didn´t want to leave this place.
With an amazing buffét breakfast with the largest selection to choose from we were so happy that they also have a whole section with gluten free choices. So we could enjoy different breads and some fruit cake which is not too often. We woke up early to spend hours here enjoying the food, talking, planning and enjoying the calm atmosphere and of course each others company. The best start of the day really.
Except from waking up to the most amazing view overlooking Marina Bay and the city. One of our favorite features were the marble bathrooms. We enjoyed a relaxing bath here which was just what we needed after so much work and traveling for the past few months.
The second night we decided to have a cozy night in and we ordered room service. It was so good.
As you all know we travel a lot around the world and let me tell you that The Ritz Carlton Millenia Singapore made it very high on our list.
So many of you have asked me of places to stay in Coron. So here is a blogg post on some of the places where we stayed. We decided to stay on a private island our first week to just relax after all our long flights. You can read more about that island here.
Then we moved into Coron town where you would want to stay cause from here would be the place where you´ll catch the boats early morning for all the beautiful island hopping around Coron. We did differen´t day trips and you seriously need more then one boat day if you want to explore all the hidden gems around.
Our first pick was The Funny Lion located just 5 min outside Coron Town. This boutique hotel is really pretty, relaxing and have a great location. Not too far from it all yet nestled away in a tropical jungle oasis with a beautiful top view from their pool deck area where you can relax and enjoy the most stunning sunsets. If you´re up for a relaxing stay where you really don´t need to be connected, then this will be your choice since the internet was not working for our entire stay but hey, it was kind of relaxing for a few days. I am so sorry though for my poor updates during this trip but sometimes when things are out of your reach then you just need to go with the flow and realize that there are many beautiful things that can be shared later on. This trip was really just island life without too much connections to the internet world 🙂 The manager at this hotel was so kind and lovely to us and our last night they organized the most beautiful dinner setting. We LOVED it so much.
We also stayed at the Two Seasons Hotel Bayside Coron. This was also a beautiful hotel. Great location and super speed on the internet. We came here for lunch even the days when we didn´t stay here cause their garlic rice with shrimps were freakin amazing and the restaurant staff super sweet and friendly plus when we needed the internet for work we could use it during our lunch here. 🙂 Such a win win really. I really liked this place. Pictures below are from the beautiful rooftop terrace where you can enjoy the most stunning sunsets overlooking the bay.

I really don´t know how to explain the beauty of this paradise called Coron in Palawan, Philippines. I hope that our photos will do some justice cause the surroundings and beautiful nature that we have experienced here the past few weeks is just pure magic. The lakes here are some of the clearest ones I´ve ever seen in my life and everywhere we go the scenery of limestone cliffs and blue ocean makes me feel alive and oh so free.
I am so happy that we chose Coron and from what I know by doing some good research, it seems that this place is not as explored like for example El Nido that has come to be so popular the past years amongst backpackers and luxury travelers. However, in the near future I would still love to visit other parts like El Nido and other places in the Philippines.
Coron town is located on Busuanga island and even though there is no beaches or that much to do in the area, you´ll still find a little city centre with shops and restaurants and the harbor where the boats will take you out to the many sights and island hopping tours.
There are so many tours to chose from, and even though they are cheaper you will still have to share the boat with many others with a fixed schedule of places to visit and timings on each spot. This was not even an option for us since we like to have our freedom and explore what we want and when we want. So we rented our own private boat which is only a few thousand pesos more for the whole boat. Way worth it. Not only did we have the option to go in our own speed and take our time on each spot, we also could chose the schedule and our boatsman took a different rout than the other scheduled tours so we in that way, did not have to battle with hundreds of other explorers.
Our picks to visit on this day was Barracuda Lake, Kayangan Lake and the Twin Lagoon. We woke up earlier then all the other tours and boats to be the first ones on the first spot which was Barracuda Lake and we had it all to our selves. Around nine in the morning the other tours starts normally so you can only expect all the sites to be crowded and full of orange floaters everywhere.
If you decide to rent your own boat make sure that you have cash for the entrance fees for each site you want to visit, plus you own lunch and fruits and water for the full day. And of course some tips for your boat crew.
Here is some captures from Barracuda Lake that was our first stop. When we arrived early morning we had the lake all to ourselves and it was so quiet and peaceful. By the time we left all these boats arrived to explore the Lake so make sure to be very early before all the other tours arrive to be able to fully enjoy.
Our next stop was the Twin Lagoon. This is also where we had our lunch on the boat. They made us some steamed rice and fish bbq with veggies. To get inside here you need to either swim inside or go by Kayak. We only brought our GoPro here since we were in the water all the time and and didn´t want to bring our Leica or the drone. But the pictures turned out so well and swimming here was such an amazing experience. The water is just so clear. I hope the photos will do some justice and I wish you could see this place for yourself. Our suggestion is to come here either early morning or late afternoon. Most of the tours starts between 08-09 AM and will go back around 15-16 PM. Cause during the day it´s packed with boat and tours and to get a quiet spot like we did will be almost impossible.
The next and last spot of the day was Kayangan Lake. This is said to be the most clear lake in all of Asia and I can clearly understand why. Once you arrive with the boat you will hike a lot of steps up to the view point. So make sure to have comfy shoes. After the view point you will walk down many steps to the Kayangan Lake which is a beautiful spot and well worth a visit. Same applies here, try to escape all of the tours and all of the orange floaters. If you get this place all to yourself it is a way more incredible and magical experience. I am glad we got to visit the place once cause I´ve always wanted to see this stunning Lake ever since I saw the first photo from this place. Right before arriving to this place we saw a sea turtle from far but we had to much speed to stop the boat and we could not turn around. Such a shame since one of the highlights on this trip was to swim with a sea turtle. I love them so much.
We had such an amazing day with such a friendly boat crew and finished the day with dinner and a beautiful sunset at our hotel in Coron bay. Feeling so energized and full of love.

So we have finally reached the North of Palawan and Coron in The Philippines. This has for as long as I can remember been so high on our bucket list and we finally made it here.
Before deciding on where to go for this trip we did a lot of research in where to go since we only had limited of time. We knew for sure that we wanted to visit Palawan and at the beginning we were looking in to El Nido as well as Coron. And after long hours of research and comparison our winner was Coron.
Coron, located in the North of Palawan simply looked like the best option for us. And I was happy to find out during our research that they have developed a protective sustainable program for the region and that there are so many eco tours that care for the beautiful land and that they constantly strive to keep the areas protected for future generations by effectively recycling and not using plastic etc. This is something that we will and can happily support at all times.
Not to mention that Coron is said to have some of the most natural and clearest lakes in the world. We just had to find out more about it.
A roughly one hour flight from the buzzing city of Manila we landed on Busuanga island where the cute little airport is located and we were greeted by a very happy team from Club Paradise.
About a 30-40 min drive later, followed by a not too long boat ride we arrived to the beautiful Dimakya island, nestled away in a UNESCO biosphere reserve and which is one of about 50 minor islets, part of the Calamian archipelago, north of Palawan.
Club Paradise Resort is the only resort on this private island where we would be spending the next coming days.
Already on the boat we were given the cutest bracelets, and of course I had to capture them. Arriving to the island even on a gloomy day the water was crystal clear and we couldn’t wait to jump in.
The main building consists of the reception, the pool area, the pool bar (where we enjoyed many coconuts on a daily basis), and the Firefish restaurant that serves dishes with fresh ingredients straight from their own Taranuman farm that is located nearby.
Upon checking in the whole team welcomed us singing and playing guitar. So much love.
It was a little bit crowded upon checkin and we had to wait for our room for sometime, however we didn´t mind since we just changed in to our swim wear and couldn’t wait to explore the island.
This island is so well taken care of and they protect the surrounding water of the island against illegal fishermen, as well as caring for their reefs and the health and conservation of the marine ecosystem. The staff here is super friendly and we were very happy to be calling this our home for the next coming days. After checking in we were taken by a buggy car to our first Sunrise Villa, located on the other side of the island where you can (as the name says) enjoy the sunrise every morning. I put my alarm for this experience that was simply breathtaking. The Sunrise Villa has a private porch with a beautiful view overlooking the ocean, however on this side it is not very swim friendly as it has too much rocks in the area. But it did not matter to us since the view was just spectacular and just a short walk over to the main building and the main beach area.
After sometime we moved to a sunset Villa. Simply to be able to enjoy the best of both. Our next home was the beautiful sunset Villa. Instead of the sunrise Villa this would be just as the name where the sun will set and this is also located on the more swim friendly beach and closer to the main building. We were also very happy with this Villa and enjoyed the sunset here from our porch.
There are many things to do and even though it is a secluded island with a quiet and relaxing environment, it never feels boring in any way. You can get snorkel gear from the diving center next to the pool area and snorkel one of many sights around the island. And if you´re very lucky you might spot one or many of the famous sea turtles here on the island. Unfortunately we did not spot any this time.
They also organize different tours, both nearby and longer island hopping tours if you would like to see something else.
Should you wish to dine alone with your loved one and enjoy some extra romance? ( Like it´s not romantic enough on this breathtaking island hehe) Private dinner on the beach can also be organized with help from the hotel.
Right on the beach next to the main building and the reception area there are two massage cabanas where we had a traditional Hilot massage during sunset. After so many long hours of traveling this was so enjoyable and relaxing to us. Hearing the ocean breeze and with my love next to me, this was truly something I highly appreciated and needed on this stay.
Good to keep in mind:
Wifi is available in all common areas as well as in the Villas. But keep in mind that it is still island life and the internet might not always be working perfectly fine or have the speed that you´re used to. But I personally think that island life is not meant to be that you´re constantly connected. This is the time to come and unwind and relax without stress and worries.
If you want a busy schedule with loads of action, this might not be the place for you however, I must say that I was impressed with how many things there are to see and do even though it is a private island and we almost felt that our time was not enough.
We had a great time at the Club Paradise resort. I love to keep the balance in life between zen and busy. Living a balanced life is the key my friends. Now we are moving on to our next adventures. So stay tuned.
We are back on the road and our first destination is Dubai, since it is on our way to our next stop. I am so excited to take you all with me on this journey. We only have a few days here in Dubai until we´re visiting the most beautiful place, also on the bucket list:)
It feels so good to be back here in the country were I have lived for so many years, and this time with my love.. This is the first time that we visit and explore Dubai together.
Dubai is such a vibrant city, and it truly offers something for everyone. So much has changed since I lived here, and there are so many new things to see.
Valentines Day was so magical and we decided to spend it with the most stunning view overlooking downtown Dubai and the Burj Khalifa.
Arriving to the roof top and the pool bar of La Ville Hotel and Suites City Walk Dubai, candles were lit around our table and it was decorated with elegant white and pink flowers, beautiful linnen napkins and a view that was simply unbeatable.
We started the evening with some drinks while watching the sunset, followed by a full dinner which was amazing. I could not have wished for anything else. I do think that it is so important to always show love and appreciate each other and the smaller things in life day by day and not only on this special day, even if it is really nice to enjoy something extra on Valentines Day. After so many years together, my love always manage to take my breath away and he always put a lot of thought behind it and I love him for that. I also love the fact that he knows me so well, and knows exactly what I love. The menu was so customized with everything that I like. Wagyu beef, sweet potato fries with the largest salad including: baby spinach, lettuce, avocado, and a delicious lemon and oil dressing. These are smaller gestures that I really appreciate. We also enjoyed some champagne and Mojitos.
Here are the captures from this very magical evening.
Thank you all for the beautiful messages during this evening. I appreciate all of your good vibes so so much.
Welcome to this magical world of its own, and the beautiful Tivoli Gardens, located in the city centre and in the Capital of Denmark, Copenhagen.
If you like festive lights and all that glitters you should definitely visit Copenhagen and the magical Tivoli Gardens during the winter season. It is basically an amusement park for all ages offering exciting little shops, family friendly rides, rollercoasters, a wide selection of restaurants as well as thousands of magical lights in all type of colors. I always get super excited every time I visit. The park has been opened since 1843 and “they say” that Walt Disney got inspired after his many visits here in the 50´s and I really don´t blame him. Once you visit you´ll understand why.
Inside the park you´ll find 23 restaurants, 15 fast food outlets, 5 bars and 2 cafés which also makes it the biggest dining spot in Copenhagen.
Adding a fourth season to the calendar in 2018 – The Winter Fest that is now held in February makes it even more special with its own ice skating rink in front of the famous Nimb Hotel, this place really made me truly feel like a princess.
Best Time To Visit
I would say that regardless when you go it will always be beautiful and magical however, for me it feels a little bit special and extra during the Christmas Holiday season with all the decorations and the Christmas spirit. They even have fake snow during this time but it looks so real and gives you that special winter feeling. Next time you can visit will be during the beautiful Winter Fest in February. The summer season in mid April to mid September is of course also nice and makes it much nicer to be outdoors specially with the long Scandinavian days during the summer season. And there is a festive theme during Halloween with all the decorations as well. So regardless on which season you chose to go I can assure you that you won´t be disappointed.
How to get there
It is the most convenient spot in the heart of the Danish Capital and city centre. The airport is just 10 min away and the train stops just steps from one of the entrances.
Where To Stay
You could always stay at the famous and beautiful Nimb Hotel – an exclusive boutique hotel offering 38 unique rooms and suits, all of them (except one) overlooking the stunning view of the Tivoli Gardens.
Stay tuned for more exciting hotels in my Copenhagen Guide.
Good To Know
Do keep in mind that The Copenhagen Gardens closes 3 times a year. It is open to the public During the Winter Fest in February, from mid April to mid September, during the Halloween season as well as during the Christmas Season but closes in between those four times of the year.
What I Love
Just wandering around taking it all in. If you visit The Tivoli Gardens during the winter season then make sure to order a traditional hot wine or a hot chocolate in one of the little stands. The home made roasted almonds are also great. If you are there during the summer season then bring a blanket to sit in the grass and just watch the beauty of it all. Also make sure to try the amazing rides and rollercoasters.
So, I am back home in Sweden after one month of traveling and I will be exploring Sweden and Copenhagen during Christmas and the month of December. This is definitely my favorit time of the year so be ready for loads of winter pics and festive lights. We have a new baby, our latest edition to the fam : The Leica Q camera. I have been looking at this camera for as long as I can remember and I just love it. The image quality is impeccable and it is much lighter then our previous camera and very easy and convenient to bring with us on our travels. We have a lot of camera/video gear already so this was just the perfect fit to our collection. Since we have been starting to do a lot more travel projects and more photography work, we decided to step our game up and invest in this new beauty. And the Leica Q camera has fulfilled everything that we are looking for in a camera. I am so happy that I can work with my true passion, and I am even more happy and grateful for all of you who are coming along with us on our adventures and always showing so much love and support, you guys are truly the best and together we have been growing the most amazing platform with likeminded beautiful souls and creators who truly supports each other. We have a lot of new destinations for 2019 and you will see a lot more travel, and I can not wait to take you all with me.
Good Morning from a tired but well rested #Travelbug and good morning St Petersburg. I´ve always heard that this breathtaking city was going to be pretty. But I was surprised how much there is to do here.
Every where you go you will find old rustic but beautiful built buildings and cathedrals that are some of the main touristic attractions. I suggest you hop on a boat tour where you can easily stop at many places and hop on again and that way you will be able to get the nice view from the river side as well which is stunning. I also recommend taking the boat by sunrise as the sun goes down beautifully over the city and the many bridges.
Food here is great and really cheap. You can easily find local choices everywhere you go, it didn´t take me long until I found my favorit food place #marketplace. They have many choices, and if you been following me for some time now you know that I always try to find the healthy options wherever I go. They also have cute outdoor seating with a nice cozy vibe.
I also found a very nice sushi place downtown on the main street that also had a great outdoor seating where you could sit and watch people and enjoy a great lunch.
You´ll find some really cool and old cars here wherever you go. They´re everywhere. Put your comfy shoes when in St Petersburg cause there will be a lot of walking, especially if you want to explore the city and there is really so much to see just by walking. I could walk for hours when I am in a new place or destination and that is how I most of the times find my favorit places and spots without even looking for it.
Things to do :
Boating during sunset on St Petersburg river
Viewpoint at St Isaac´s cathedral
Visit One or many pretty and vintage coffeeshops
If interested in history visit one of many museums in the city
Visit and pick up fresh fruit from one of many fruit stands/ market
Walk Walk Walk to explore the city
Thank you St Petersburg, You´ve been so lovely! Until Next Time 🙂
I had the great luck to go to Cyprus for a few weeks to explore this beautiful and breathtaking island. It was totally my pleasure and I am so glad to finally be able to share my favorite impressions from this trip.
Beautiful places to visit:
– Konnos beach
– Aphrodite rock
– Ayia Napa and Cavo Greco Cape ( Which I didn´t do on this trip cause I want the photos and experience here to be with my baaaaby 🙂
So, I have gotten so many question about where is the best place to go and what´s really worth it if you only have a certain amount of time. So I will tell you about my favorite parts of this stunning island.
A must see for me and my favorite on this island is Aphrodite Rock and the surroundings as seen in the pictures and the area around Paphos. The water is so clear as you can see and there are so many view points and photo spots and I just did not want to leave this place. You can either stay in Paphos or in Limassol and then rent a car to go to this place for a day.
Down in Paphos town there´s a little harbor with loads of cute restaurants that serve amazing food. My favorite was the Pelican restaurant who also has two super cute pelicans that comes to the restaurant for food every day and then they stay around the area just relaxing. How cute?
Limassol is the biggest city on Cyprus and have a larger and more busy selection. Here you will find more trendy stores and shopping, pool bars and lounges and a promenade along the city parallel with the water. But the sea here is not even near as clear as around Aphrodite bay area. Food options are many and its quite spread out along the whole city. My favorite here is probably the old town area with all the cute little cafés and restaurants and the old looking houses and streets.
My favorite places to eat:
Colombia beach club/ pool – Limassol
They serve everything from burgers to poké bowls, nice salads, fresh juices, cocktails and drinks by the pool or the cabana lounges close to the beach. Nice music during the day and lovely restaurant during the evening.
Bakery Gourmet Kafeneio – Limassol
My favorite café in Limassol. Mostly vegan and plant based, gluten -free and a total healthy concept at this place. You´ll find, salads, wraps, soups, amazing sweets, fresh super food smoothies and juices. If you care about your food and health like me this is THE place. And the owners are the nicest couple and very friendly too.
Dino Bistro Café – Limassol
Cute café/restaurant with a personal touch. Food here is really amazing and they put there own little touch on everything. And the great thing is that there is something for every taste such as sushi, salads, pastas, burgers, fish, meat and a wide selection of desserts.
Fat Fish – Limassol
Lovely restaurant next to Colombia by the beach overlooking the beach and sea. Nice fresh fish dishes on the menu but also other options. Great for both lunch and dinner.
Old Town – Limassol
Plenty of restaurants to chose from and super cozy atmosphere in the evening.
Pelican restaurant – Paphos
Amazing fresh fish and seafood. Super cute blue and white interior overlooking the harbor and boat area. Great service and very friendly as well.
I could really suggest to stay in Limassol for a few days and do a day trip to Aphrodite Rock and Bay. Or stay a few nights in Paphos as well.
You will find more photos and can read more about Konnos beach HERE and Larnaca HERE.
Cyprus is truly pure magic, and there´s loads of small cute spots that you can visit around the island.
The next stop for me was Konnos Beach which is a little small but really beautiful beach right outside of Ayia Napa. I did some research and I decided that this was a cute little spot that I wanted to visit. I didn´t stay in this area and I only came for the day, however if you chose to stay in Protaras district and in Ayia Napa or Fig Tree Bay, then this little hideaway is very near for you to reach. And in my honest opinion, this is the most clear and turquoise water I´ve seen on the island so far.
On the way here you´ll also pass Cape Greco sea caves, where you can spot the amazing sea caves and there you´ll get some pretty amazing photos.
I will wait and do this one with my love, I always wanted to do the love rock with him, so I am saving that for the next time and maybe then we will stay around Ayia Napa or in the Fig Tree Bay area.
In Konnos beach it is pretty packed with people. But I do suggest that you walk around cause there is some very amazing spots for great photos. You can go down to the beach from 2 ways, one through the diving centre and one through the long stairway depending on where you park. My photos are taken from both of the locations.
There is a little small restaurant and I think they serve some lighter food and drinks, but I brought my own little picnic that I had on the beach and that´s highly recommended and it was super cozy.
